Home of the modeling savants....Celebrating forty years of modeling fun, education, and history in 2024!

Here is his Eduard Bf-109G-6-R6 with the 20mm guns attached.  He painted it with Gunze MR Color, Qunitas 3D printed interior, ultracast seat, decals from Eagle Cal, and weathered with Ammo by MIG washes and pastels.  Another winner from the master..

This beauty is from AMT/Ertl and is the A-20B as it appeared in North Africa and was painted with AK 3G Acrylic and Tamiya, Ultracast seat, True Details wheels and life raft, Superscale decals, scratchbuilt rear gunner 50 cal gun, an weathered with Ammo by MIG washes and pastels and followed by his patented “pastel scrub” on the top surfaces.  Jeez, this guy is good!

And dead last, for obvious reasons, we have our President for life and beyond, JR Burggren.  Here is his gorgeous 1/25 AMT ’74 McClaren Indy Car.  He added scale sheet aluminum to wing sides, built a new windshield, This kit came with a missing front tire, windshield, decals, and some rear suspension braces.  He brush painted it!  Then sealed it with Future. It’s a great looking battleship if you ask me!  😉

That's it.  I'm not doing any more!  Remember the remaining 2024 meetings will be at the Ferrysburg City Hall!

Stan’s fourth model is the Romulan Banshee class battle cruiser by John Nash.  Stan modified the drawings to correct a serious flaw and did a perfect job!

Stan Carrier brought in three 3D spacecraft that he custom redesigned and printed.  The smallest one is the 1/250 Unalaska class destroyer and is the USS Unalaska.
The midsized one is 1/250 scale and is the Mogami class fighter cruiser and was 3D molded and printed by Stan based on a 2D picture.
The largest one is 1/200 scall and is the USS Kumano Starfleet Escort Heavy cruiser with Calisto Attack Aircraft  docked.  He used Gundam panel liners to highlight …the panel lines!
Great job, Stanley!

First up is Doug Seekman’s Zvezda Ju-88G-6 which he built for Stan Carrier.  Painted with Gunze Mr Color, Eduard PE seatbelts, AIMS decals, weathered with Ammo by MIG washes and pastels.  He said it was  nice kit.

William Hall brought in a beautiful 1/16 Italeri Alfa-Romeo 8C-2300 GP racer from 1935. This 6 cylinder beauty won the Monza GP that year.  It was the first Italian car to win a GP race.

We will start off with Mark Jahsan’s battleship, as JR called it!  It is the 1/200 Trumpeter Enterprise CV-6 as it appeared in June 1942 at the time of Midway.
Mark built this mostly OOB but added some rigging and antenna wire. The kit came with 8 sheets of PE and the kit came with 15 aircraft, but he added 20 more!
Was painted in Measure II, overall Sea Bluem vertical surfaces and deck blue on the horizontals.  He also did some light weathering.  Wow!  Impressive…took two guys to carry it in!
