Home of the modeling savants....Celebrating forty years of modeling fun, education, and history in 2025!

Master modeler Doug Seekman brought in three beauties! The first is a 1/72 Italeri Do-217K1 that he built for Stan.  He painted it with Tamiya & Gunze Mr. Color, Eduard OE seat belts, decals from XTRA Decal, and weathered with pastels.  Stan is a lucky Man!  Great job, Doug!

Apologies to Mark Welch and Doug Seekman.  Old age.......

What has gotten into Stan Carrier!  These are 1/285 Battle Tech miniatures…they are Marauder II, Marauder IIC, Stone Rhino, Archer, and Atlas.  All were hand painted with Tamiya and Vallejo paint.  Look sweet, Stan!

Next, we have Tom’s K-51 Radio truck by MiniArt.  Way too many tiny parts, Tom said.  And it took 3 months to build.  Well, it looks fantastic, Tom!

AWOL no more, Doug Schuur displayed his 1/48 Tumpeter F-106B Delta Dart.  It was painted with Testors aircraft gray, Tamiya X-1 Black, and the decals were from MicroScale 5th fighter.  Good to have you back, Doug.

Now we have hi s 1/48 Tamiya A6M3 32 Zero.  He painted it with Tamiya and Ammo by Mig acrylic, Ultracast resin seat, Qunitas 3D printed interior decals (I gotta get me some of this stuff!), kit decals, weathered with Ammo by Mig washes and pastels.  He also used liquid mask for the cammo.  Sweet!

Tom “OD” Miller brought in two magnificent 1/35 US military vehicles.  The first is his Tamiya M3A1 Satan which was a flame thrower.  The flame thrower conversion/upgrade was from FC Model.  It was painted with AMMO by Mig and the decals were from his spares box.  He said it only took one week to build and was a very nice kit.  Looks great to me, Tom!

We are going to start with poor Mark Welch. He brought in a beautiful model of the USS Arizona…but somebody failed to take a photo.  I blame Mark.  He’s not here to defend himself!
He brought in the Revell USS Arizona after it was refitted in 1938.  He painted it with Tamiya rattle can haze gray and Testors enamels. He used 3D printed parts from China which included AA guns, cranes, catapults, and Kingfisher aircraft.  He used EZ line for the rigging.  He used Sculptamold for the water.
If you weren’t at the meeting, you really missed it…really!

Surprise!  Mark Jahsan proudly showed off his 1/25 Polar Lights Ford Torino Talladega driven by David Pearson to the 1969 championship.  Rust-Oleum paint was utilized as Fords from that era were prone to rust!  The car has a 427 installed and the one on the cradle is a 429.  The decals are from Slixx and came in the kit.
Great job, Mark!  That is really sharp!

Well crap!!  I took the photo but it is missing from the photo reel!  WTH!!!  So sorry Doug.  I don’t remember this every happening before.
It was 1/48 Finemolds D4Y2-S Judy painted with Gunze MR Color, Eduard Sup[er Fabric seat belts, National insignia deals from Techmold, Markings from the kit.  Weathered with Ammo by Mig washes and pastels.
This was one beautiful model…trust me.  When you return Doug, please bring it back in to be photographed…again!
