Home of the modeling savants....Celebrating forty years of modeling fun, education, and history in 2024!

Revell 1/35 German Raketenjagdpanzer Jaguar replacement for the  Kanonenjagdpanzer armed with TOW missile system and add on armor was a rubberized mesh.  He built this 15 years ago.  This vehicle was fast and had a low profile.  Another winner!

It’s Doug Seekman time…which means superb 1/48 aircraft models.  First is his French MS-406 by Hobbycraft.  His lawyer has been asking for years for a model of a French plane.  We were all wondering why he needed a lawyer.  For that messing paternity lawsuit a few years back I suppose…..  😉  He used Tamiya paint, decals from Aeromaster, seatbelt PE from Eduard, partially scratchbuilt cockpit, and weathered with Ammo by Mig washes and pastels.

This is the Italeri Dodge WC55 M3 Gun Mount Carrier armed with a 37mm M3 gun.  Stan used Tamiya paint and was built OOB except a scratchbuilt tarp.  Awesome models, today, Stan! (Why is the image out of focus???)

Good to see Tom Miller feeling well again…but we do miss Shirley!  This is the British Long Range Desert Group truck in 1/35 scale and is from Tamiya.  The vinyl tires were defective so there was a delay in getting this baby built.  He used Tamiya and Ammo by Mig paints.  Tom says it was a very nice kit and it looks awesome.  The stowage is fantastic.  Of course, it should look great…it only took him 30 years to built it!!!  😉  Great Job, Tom

His third model is the Hasegawa Typhon MK1B painted with Gunze Mr. Color, decals from Aeromaster, an Ultracast seat, and weathered with Ammo by Mig washes and pastels.  Great models, Doug!

Doug Schuur brought in his first model in a long time.  Good to see that he feels well enough to get back to modeling!  This is his 1/48 Revell of German Euro Fighter Typhoon “Black Jack”.  He painted it with Tamiya and Hataka paints.  The decals are from the kit!  Nice job, Doug!  Great to see you building again!

See you at the luncheon!!!

First up from Stan Carrier is his Revell Kanonenjagdpanzer proposal up gunned to 105 mm in the 1980’s before retirement.  Airbrushed painted with Tamiya, a white metal gun from Tiran 5(?) conversion kit.  Sweet!

This is the Tamiya Gloster Meteor F.1 painted with Gunze Mr. Color, decals from the kit, Eduard superfabric seatbelts, and scratchbuilt seat.  Boy, that is sharp looking!

OK, I saved the best for  last. Here is Mark Jahsan’s HO scale diorama.  Hooterville is just down the line!  Never have I seen a finer structure model in all my days.  Magnificent if I do say so.  OK, OK, I built it and sold it to Mark awhile back…for $1…and he still says it was overpriced!!!  The loco and tender came from Dug and the combine car from Al George.  I love it!  Thanks, Mark!
